The original LPW was started in 1972 by Laurie Moon’s (MD) father, and his uncle, after new legislation was passed in 1972 that required every lorry over 3.5 tonnes in weight to be steam cleaned before its MOT.
LPW has grown organically over the last 30 years and is now the dominant player in the UK truckwashing market.

Through its different divisions it offers transport managers an integrated service for washing their trucks and keeping their brands clean; these include the ability to buy equipment so that they can wash their own trucks, have mobile vans bring equipment to wash trucks at their sites, take their trucks to fixed truckwash sites. |

LPW currently washes over 10,000 trucks per week in a marketplace of around 700,000 trucks.
